Great Neck is a corridor of Virginia Beach which consists of several older, established neighborhoods with mature trees and large lots, as well as some newer communities including Broad Bay Point Greens which is a golf course community and Wimbledon on the Bay. Surrounded by waterfront on both sides of the main artery, Great Neck Road, there is waterfront property of every price range depending on whether it is tidal water, deep water, creek view or expansive views. Broad Bay, Wolfsnare Creek and Long Creek all offer deep water access for boats and lead out to the Chesapeake Bay. A highlight for any resident who enjoys the outdoors is Great Neck Park, established in 1990, which is a 70-acre district park located along the banks of the Lynnhaven Bay. Great Neck Recreation Center is part of the Virginia Beach Recreation Center Program and offers both a great facility with pool, basketball and racquetball courts and workout equipment, as well as many classes and programs throughout the day.
